Green Event Locations are becoming increasingly popular in today’s society!  No need to look any further as Estate Weddings and Events is doing their part to provide green wedding locations and green event locations to its clients!  Here are just some of the ways we work to make sure we are providing green estate locations for your wedding or event!

What We Do to Create Green Weddings

• luxury recycle disposal containers placed strategically around the site for your event

•  we’ll donate the leftover food from your green wedding to a local shelter

•  it’s the simple things, like no ice in your guests water glasses unless requested

• an estate uses far less energy than a hotel or other similar venue due to the fact that we only utilize energy in the space that we are working in

• we serve condiments, such as milk and sugar in large containers which minimizes the waste if there were individually sized packets of milk, sugar etc

• we make everything on two sided copies

• we use recycled paper on all of our printed contracts, packages, etc.

• exclusive partnership with ChileCo Catering, making sure that you get the highest quality of food available, as well as it being completely organic and locally grown!

Some tips to make yours a green wedding or green event:

•  have a candle light reception to minimize the need for electric lights, or on the other hand, have your wedding outdoors in the afternoon where no additional lighting would be necessary

• host only a cocktail style reception, minimizing the need for additional linens, tables, chairs, food, plates, napkins, etc – thus reducing your carbon footprint

• keep the guest list small as this can reduce not only waste, but materials such as linens, chairs, tables, china, glassware, flatware, etc.

• try to find a ceremony location that is nearby the estate or better yet, have your ceremony and reception at the same place! 

• Don’t send save the date cards, rather – email them!

• Rather than crafting individual seating cards for each guest, create a diagram that fits the theme of your wedding so each person can see what table they are seated at!
