The web is abuzz with news about Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg,  marrying his long term girlfriend Priscilla Chan on Saturday May 19th, 2012 at their Palo Alto home that they share together.

100 guests arrive under the pretense that it was to celebrate Chan’s recent graduation from University of California, San Francisco medical school.

Weren’t they in for quite a surprise!

The couple wed in their backyard, and spent the last several months planning this occasion.

The reception was caterered by some of their favorite eateries including Palo Alto Sol and Fuki Sushi.

Priscilla wore a beautiful Claire Pettibone wedding dress, and Mark opted to wear a suit instead of his notorious grey hoodie.  

Zuckerberg even designed Chan’s ruby wedding ring himself.

After the ceremony, the couple posted a photograph of themselves under market lighting and officially changed their relationship status to “Married” on Facebook.

The newly married couple has been very busy over the last week, with Chan’s graduation and Mark’s 28th birthday on Monday,

AND, oh yeah, Facebook going public on Friday.

What a week!
