The estate’s grounds are a wonderful setting for an outdoor wedding.  Should the weather turn unfavorable, the Plantation’s indoor common area can accommodate up to 150 people.  Special services are offered for wedding ceremonies and receptions.  Flower arrangements, music, and catering are all available to help the bride and groom create a style-filled and memorable experience for themselves and all their guests.  The property can be rented out for the entire weekend, making it an ideal venue for hosting a destination wedding. 

The estate has four uniquely-designed suites with antique furniture, gas fireplaces, and modern amenities like televisions, jacuzzi tubs, and refrigerators.  Overnight guests receive a complimentary Southern-style breakfast each morning.  These bed-and-breakfast-like features make the Desert Plantation a great place for a honeymoon as well as a wedding celebration.  Since the entire property can be rented for the weekend, it easy for special guests to spend the night onsite after attending the ceremony and reception.

The expansive grounds of the Desert Plantation allows guests and event attendees to experience the unique landscapes and flora and fauna of this area of Mississippi and Louisiana.  The Clark’s Creek Natural Area, known for its beautiful waterfalls, has trails for hikers and cyclists.  It sits only a short distance from the estate’s front entrance.  With its 200-plus year narrative, the Desert Plantation itself is one of the most interesting historic sites in the area, but the Civil War battle site at Fort Adams, Mississippi is another nearby attraction that is of interest to history buffs.
