Villa Helena is a Miami Beach estate that that features an alluring Art Deco villa and spacious courtyard, perfect for hosting an intimate special event or enjoying a luxurious Florida vacation.
Miami Beach’s Villa Helena is a rental estate that merges Art Deco design and a nostalgic atmosphere with thoroughly modern facilities. With five bedrooms, an entertainment room, two dining rooms, a living room, and a palm-fringed courtyard, the Villa is an ideal choice for those seeking an intimate setting for a special meeting, or a luxurious Miami vacation. This estate can also simply be seen as a great place to enjoy a luxurious, amenity-filled 1920s-style vacation (in a time when Miami was an Art Deco paradise filled with culture and cutting-edge design and architecture).
Villa Helena’s features elevate it above a standard vacation rental and make it a great accommodation choice for people in search of a Florida estate that is truly detail-oriented and unique. Marble floors, custom-made chandeliers, a large courtyard with in-ground pool and Jacuzzi, and a state of the art kitchen create an ideal living space for guests who appreciate high-end design and architecture, but don’t want to sacrifice the convenience of a well-equipped estate. Modern amenities like air conditioning and wireless internet do not take away from the Helena’s classic ambiance.
One only has to look at the courtyard’s palms and bright green hedges to realize that they are in South Florida. However, unlike many estates, the Villa Helena is centrally-located a mere 10 minutes from one of the most famous seaside neighborhoods in the U.S.: South Beach, a place known world-wide for its sunny stretches of sand, energetic nightlife scene, and classic Roaring Twenties vibe.
One could hardly call the basic amenities available at Villa Helena “basic.” High-end Bvlgari products are stocked in the restrooms, alongside freshly cut flowers. Godiva chocolates are placed bedside and access to housekeeping and concierge services mean that assistance is always at hand. Optional extras like chef service, security, mixologist service, and stocks of wine, liquor and cigars can turn a stay at Villa Helena from a luxurious experience to something that is unforgettably special.

A beautiful modern 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath 3000 square foot custom home sits on six acres of Big Sur’s premium coastline. This Modern Oceanfront estate is the perfect location for a corporate retreat, family reunion or intimate wedding reception.
The Wind and Sea Big Sur offers amazingly scenic views of the ocean and of California’s famously beautiful Central Coast. This intimate and private six acre property has a 3,000 square foot house, decks overlooking the sea, and an outdoor yoga studio and fireplace. The Wind and Sea provides an ideal setting for an intimate wedding celebration, a corporate retreat, or a simple family vacation.
The Wind and Sea Big Sur estate offers some of the best views of all the properties on California’s famously scenic Central Coast. The 3,000 square foot house and surrounding six acre grounds are ideal for hosting small wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, corporate retreats, or other special events. The reasonable daily rates also make the Wind and Sea a good choice for a family vacation.
As with most oceanfront estates, the first thing guests will notice at the Wind and Sea is the stunning view of the sea and of the scenically rugged coastline that the Central Coast is famous for. With six acres of water-side property, the estate boasts more than one scenic overlook spot. However, this fully equipped wedding and event venue is more than a place to see pretty panoramas. The house itself has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, and a kitchen and living area. These features mean that besides being an obvious place to host an intimate wedding, the Wind and Sea is a great place for an oceanfront retreat for business or pleasure.
The Wind and Sea’s outdoor features are as attractive as its indoor amenities. An outdoor exercise area is located on the water-front side of the property. Though it is called a “yoga studio,” it is actually more of an onsite spa, with a dry sauna, copper tubs, and a full shower. All of these special amenities overlook the water. Beyond the house, the well-manicured gardens and lawns, designed with subtle Eastern influences in mind, bring an extra feel of luxury and tranquility to this property.
The best views on the entire property are found in an amphitheater-like area that sits on a rocky outcropping above the sea. A fireplace sits at the center of the seating area. This particular feature personifies the attractiveness of Wind and Sea: an intimate estate with stunning views and romantic settings.
The Wind and Sea Big Sur estate provides an atmosphere of privacy and remoteness. The remoteness is real, but the estate can actually be reached quite easily. It sits less than a hour from Monterrey and Carmel, and two hours from San Luis Obispo.

Ash Lawn Highland is an important historic site in Charlottesville, Virginia. It finds its way onto many tourists’ itineraries because it has a museum that is dedicated to James Monroe, the fifth president of the United States. Monroe actually lived at Ash Lawn for nearly 30 years before his time in the White House.
Though it features onsite exhibit halls and occasional visits from living history actors, Ash Lawn is certainly not the typical stuffy, dated museum. The well-preserved centuries-old buildings, 55 acres of farmland, well manicured lawns, and pristine gardens give the property a romantic feel and a classic atmosphere that is seldom found in more-modern estates.
Because of these qualities, the estate is a perfect place to host a wedding. Ash Lawn has been hosting ceremonies and receptions for the past twenty five years. The estate is ideal for people who want to either enjoy a spread-out wedding reception that takes full advantage of the spacious property or who want a smaller reception that takes place in the perfect setting.
Like most early politicians, Monroe was a wealthy man, and his estate is anything but small and cramped. It features multiple lawns and gardens, each with a very distinct flavor. Yards and gardens are covered with colorful flowers, impeccably groomed hedges, and towering trees. Roses, a welcome decoration at any wedding, abound in a green-space known as John’s Garden. This spot is a favorite for many brides and grooms because of its attractive flora and because it is located near the outdoor event facilities that many couples choose as the main venue for their wedding ceremony and celebration.
The Hilltop Pavilion, built next to the garden mentioned above, overlooks the rolling terrain that characterizes the property. The Pavilion is a permanent structure that is perfect for seating during a ceremony or as a covered reception area. It can hold up to 400 people and is a welcome change from the standard temporary tents that many outdoor weddings have to rely on. A large barn site is also an option for people who want an indoor/outdoor party and are looking for a slightly more casual ambiance.
Ash Lawn Highland works with local caterers and suppliers to provide hassle-free food service and bar service to wedding parties. Ash Lawn’s event coordinators are especially adept at bringing alive Monroe’s era by providing period food, tours of the estates grounds and buildings, and even classical music performances. It is even possible to add even more historic flavor to a wedding at the estate. A troupe of living history actors, dressed in period costumes, are available to perform at receptions. Ash Lawn’s carriage rides, an option for all wedding celebrations, are a nice touch not only for people who want to maintain a classic ambiance but anyone who has the desire to increase the level of romance for all the guests who attend the wedding.
The estate can also accommodate other events such as family reunions, meetings, or luncheons. These parties can take place in one of the outdoor or open air settings mentioned above or in a smaller indoor conference center located on the premises. The center can hold up to sixty guests and features a separate kitchen and fireplace. This is the best option for hosting celebrations or meetings during the cooler months of the year. Despite its label, the “conference center” is located in one of the original buildings and carries the same historic feel as the other areas of the estate.
James Monroe’s Ash Lawn Highland estate is a great venue for an East Coast wedding or for a destination wedding for a bride and groom who want the historic ambiance and timeless class of this estate to be the backdrop for their most special day.
