This week’s Disney-inspired Fairy Tale wedding features the most dream come true story of all.
Love is truly in the air in this fairy tale from the moment Cinderella and the Prince fall in love at first sight, to the happy ending when the search for a perfect match to a single glass slipper is found.
Here are our ideas to transform your own wedding to a Disney’s Cinderella themed one.
The best part?
The magic of your fairy tale night will last long after the clock strikes midnight!
Design your invitations after old-fashioned storybook print in big blocky letters and hand painted pictures.
This will especially match if your location is at a castle venue.
If you would like to go all out, fashion your invitations on a medieval scroll, like what the duke uses as he goes around town checking names off looking for Cinderella.
Didn’t think glass slippers could ever get a designer?
Maison Martin Margiela, Marc Jacobs, and Christian Louboutin have all created their own highly coveted takes of Cinderella’s glass slippers, but of course since their respective releases, all are nearly impossible to find today.
Luckily, there are alternatives.
A white, sparkly or rhinestone encrusted shoe will make each of your steps seem like a magical one.
The more sparkly the better!
DSW Shoe Warehouse teamed up with Disney to create a “Glass Slipper” line.
On the Disney store website, you can also purchase a customized glass slipper for under $100.
An easy nod to the classic fairy tale is to find an iconic cake topper.
Whether you’ve designed your cake as an intricate castle or a five-tier towering creation, place a little cartoon Cinderella and Prince at the top of the cake for a fun piece of Disney and whimsical change from the traditional bride and groom topper.
You can find this one on Amazon and many others online.
Like a real princess, have your wedding at a luxurious castle.
Your guests will be amazed being in a unique once-in-a-lifetime location.
Castles evoke all sorts of fairy tale romances and famous Kings and Queens of history.
Check out our blog post which features castle estates of the United States including the Highlands Castle in upstate New York, Castle Ladyhawke Estate in North Carolina, Oheka Castle in New York, Chateau Julien in Central California or the Cairo Estate in Orange County.
Instead of driving away in a car, scout an old fashioned horse and carriage.
Some vendors might even have imitative white pumpkin shaped carriages.

Flowers and Table Settings
White, baby blue, silver and pink are the colors that stand out the most from the Disney Cinderella movie.
For winter weddings especially, white is a stunning color to deck out your ballroom or other reception venue.
Decorate tall centerpieces with long strands of dazzling crystals to imitate the magic flowing with every wand flick of Cinderella’s fairy godmother.
Complement linens, napkins and plateware with pale pinks and blues.
Princess Ballroom Dress
Cinderella, that lucky girl, gets outfitted three times in dresses at different parts of the movie.
First she wears a pink dress made with recycled pieces from her mom’s old gown.
Then, she is off to the ball wearing the silver and blue dress we have all come to know and love.
At the very end of the movie, she wears a classic and modest white wedding dress.
For those planning on wearing white, consider a blue dress for your reception just like when Cinderella and the prince have their first dance together in the Prince’s garden.
Or, you can have your flower girl play Cinderella!
Like the pink rose necklaces we featured in our Beauty and the Beast wedding post, we found these cute Cinderella pumpkin carriage necklaces that would be absolutely adorable on each of your bridesmaids.
Another option is bracelets.
These dainty silver bows add the perfect muted detail to an overall look.
Cinderella’s wedding dress is long-sleeved, but if your wedding dress style is strapless then white gloves add a finishing royal touch.
Long white gloves are both formal and feminine.
Give some credit to Cinderella’s helpful bird friends by planning floating decor using large balloons and white sheets styled after the way the birds cary Cinderella’s dress materials.
Lastly, a great idea is to place thrones where the bride and groom are seated during the reception, transforming dinner to feel like a lavish banquet.
